Quick Guide to Obtaining a Warehance API Key

This guide provides a step-by-step process for obtaining an API key from your Warehance account, suitable for users who need to integrate Warehance with other applications.

Log in to Warehance

Access your Warehance account by logging in with your credentials. This is the first step to obtaining your API key.

Navigate to the Warehance login page at https://app.warehance.com/. Enter your username and password to access your account. Ensure that your credentials are correct to avoid login issues.

Open API Keys Settings

Navigate to the API Keys settings to manage your API keys. This is where you can generate new keys or manage existing ones.

Once logged in, locate the left sidebar of the Warehance dashboard. Click on 'Settings' to expand the menu, then select the 'API Keys' subsection. This section allows you to view and manage your API keys.

Generate a New API Key

Create a new API key by generating it within the API Keys settings. Assign a descriptive name for easy identification.

In the API Keys section, click on the 'Generate New API Key' button. A prompt will appear asking for a name for your new API key. Use a descriptive name, such as '<Your integration name> — Production', to help you identify the key's purpose later.

Copy the Key Immediately

After generating the key, copy it immediately as it will only be displayed once. Secure it in a safe location.

Once the API key is generated, it will be displayed in a dialog box. Copy the key immediately, as it will not be shown again. If you close the dialog without copying the key, you will need to generate a new one. Ensure you store the key securely to prevent unauthorized access.
