To configure the basic settings of Spring GDS PUDO (Pick Up Drop Off) for your store, follow these steps:
1. **Access the Spring GDS PUDO Dashboard**
Log in to your store’s admin panel and navigate to the Spring GDS PUDO app. If you haven’t installed it yet, download it from your platform’s app marketplace and complete the installation process.
2. **Connect Your Spring GDS Account**
You’ll need to link your Spring GDS account to the app. Enter your API credentials (API key, secret, or token) provided by Spring GDS. This step is essential for enabling communication between your store and the Spring GDS network.
3. **Set Up Store Information**
In the app settings, input your store’s address, contact details, and business hours. This information is used for shipment pickups and customer notifications.
4. **Configure Shipping Zones and Methods**
Define the regions or countries where you want to offer PUDO services. In the shipping settings, add Spring GDS PUDO as a shipping method. Set the rates, delivery times, and any restrictions (such as order value or weight limits) according to your store’s policy.
5. **Enable PUDO Locations for Customers**
Activate the option for customers to select a PUDO location at checkout. You can customize how the PUDO map or list appears, such as default search radius or preferred pickup points. Make sure the widget is enabled and visible during the checkout process.
6. **Customize Notifications**
Set up automated notifications for customers. These can include order confirmation, pickup instructions, and reminders when a parcel is ready for collection. Adjust the templates and timing of these messages in the notifications section.
7. **Test the Integration**
Before going live, place a test order to ensure the PUDO option appears at checkout, the location selection works, and notifications are sent correctly. Check that orders are correctly registered in both your store and the Spring GDS dashboard.
8. **Review and Save Settings**
Double-check all configurations, then save your settings. Monitor your first few orders to ensure everything operates smoothly.
For more advanced features, such as custom branding or analytics, refer to the Spring GDS PUDO documentation. If you encounter issues or need further assistance, visit the Spring GDS website and contact their support team.
