UPS Live Rates for Shopify
Applies to: Shopify Plus, Advanced or Growth Plan merchants who want to display real-time UPS rates at checkout.
Overview
The UPS Live Rates app for Shopify automatically displays real-time UPS shipping costs during checkout. It connects your Shopify store to your UPS account so you can offer your negotiated (discounted) UPS rates to customers without manual entry.
Requisiti
- Shopify Plus, Advanced, or Growth Plan (carrier-calculated shipping enabled).
- A UPS Shipping Dashboard account at ups.dashboardlink.com.
- Your UPS account number (if you want to use negotiated rates).

1. Install the UPS Live Rates App
- Sign in to your UPS Shipping Dashboard at ups.dashboardlink.com.
- In the Dashboard, go to the I negozi section.
- Scroll down to find Shopify and click Connect.
- Make sure you’re logged in to the correct Shopify store.
- Click Install to add the app.
- Accept the OAuth dialog to authorize the connection.
2. Connect Your UPS Account
After the app installs:
- Click Connect My UPS Account in the app.
- You’ll be redirected to UPS.
- Log in with your UPS.com username and password.
- When prompted, enter your UPS Account Number.
- If you want to show your negotiated (discounted) UPS rates, check Use Negotiated Rates.
3. Configure Shipping Zones and Services in Shopify
Once your UPS account is connected:
- In your Shopify admin, go to Settings › Shipping and Delivery.
- Choose the shipping profile or zone you want to edit.
- Click Add Rate.
- Select Use Carrier App to Calculate Rates.
- From the list, choose UPS Live Rates Carrier.
- Select the UPS service(s) you want to offer (Ground, 2nd Day Air, International, etc.).
- Click Done, then Save the shipping profile.
4. Test Your Setup at Checkout
- Open your online store in a browser.
- Add a product to the cart and proceed to checkout.
- Enter your shipping address.
- You should now see UPS services and rates automatically loaded in the checkout section.
5. Tips & Support
- Make sure product weights and dimensions are defined in Shopify for accurate rate calculations.
- Check that your shipping zones cover the countries/regions where you want UPS services to appear.
- If you encounter issues, confirm you’re on an eligible Shopify plan and your UPS account credentials are correct.
